Written Japanese is composed of two parts, the kana (hiragana and katakana) and kanji.
Kana[]
The kana are the phonetic part of the Japanese written language. There are two forms of kana, hiragana and katakana.
Hiragana[]
Hiragana is what is used for the majority of native Japanese. In verbs is used in conjunction with kanji.
